Placeblogger is the largest searchable index of local weblogs. These grassroots local news sites are part of a growing movement to bring communities together online.
Placeblogger is also the sponsor of the Placeblogger Angel Fund, which provides seed funding for grassroots local sites on a story-by-story basis when the team behind a local site is ready to take the next step to hire a reporter for an investigative story, file a FOIA, or do anything that will bring them to the next level in creating local sites that are journalistically ambitious.
